St. Peter’s Summer Program is an educational and enrichment program that allows
children to continue learning during the summer months through fun activities. During June, July, and August, children spend their day in an educational and creative environment. Activities include trips, games and lessons. This program is designed to serve children of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and provide them with a safe place to learn and express their creativity.
The program is divided into two sessions. In the morning, campers are helped
with grammar, math, science and English as a second language. This academic support helps them to succeed at grade level for the upcoming school year. Afternoons are dedicated to recreational activities, including going to a park, music,
painting, arts and crafts, and learning “Folkloric Dances” from different countries. At the end of the summer, the campers perform these dances to an audience made up
of parents and the community guests. Once a week there is an offsite field trip to a pool, museum or any State Park.
St. Peter’s Summer Program is held Monday – Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for children
ages 6-12, starting June and ending in the middle of August. This program is unique in that it is 8 weeks long. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are prepared and provided on-site.
